If a person has too many bits and bobs of debt that are becoming difficult to cope with, the most silly thing that they can do is to turn their head away and expect the debt to go away itself, as this is something that will not happen.
Getting into debt is a simple thing to do, as we are constantly being told on television advertisements that we must have the latest sofa, and it is interest free over three years, and we therefore consider it affordable. We also thought the expensive television that also had an interest free loan was well within budget.
It starts when young, when we must have the same trainers as our friends, or even more expensive if possible.
When we become teenagers and our friends are going to Europe on holiday we beg our family for the money to accompany them, and do not take into account for a second ,that possibly our family cannot afford it.
It continues like this when we start our first job and we socialize with our work mates who have been in the job longer than us and earn more than we do. We cannot afford the expensive lunches every day with the wine, but we have it anyway. We also go on the same holiday as them.
Before you know it, you have simply too many high balance credit cards that you used to pay for all this entertainment and the designer clothes on your back, and debt worries set in.
Before things break your spirit, you should consult an expert on debt advice who will offer the best debt solution for you.
Normally the debt advice given to homeowners would be to consider a remortgage or a secured loan and use these as consolidation loans that clear all the other debt and leave a single much lower payment to be met monthly.
